Probably should have saved this post for my Monday Noms series. But I’m making up for it. I wanted to talk about breakfast food. I hate eating in the morning. But it’s the most important meal of the day. So I made the effort to try to eat what so many people say is the best. Porridge. I hate it. The texture reminds me of sick. And no matter what fruit I dump all over it with cinnamon, I can’t eat it. But I saw a video that Kalel made involving Quinoa. Curiosity struck. I tried it. And I fucking love it.

I have seen had a love affair with quinoa for breakfast. Trader Joe’s has very decent prices for their foods. And recently I tried Qnola.

Usually, I use the canned coconut milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup for the base of the precooked quinoa from Trader Joe’s. And some may see it as a lot of work for breakfast. But it’s faster than pancakes and healthier than cereal that is on the market. Usually, my toppings are craisin’s, strawberries, banana’s, and cinnamon. A lot of cinnamon. As a non-breakfast eater, I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed eating these things in the morning. I know I leave myself limited. But I don’t like egg’s, sausage, hate the taste of bacon, and lost my taste for cereal.
